Decomposition Gallery

An attempt at ecocentric design

Decomposition Gallery is mine and Viktor Bredals semester project for Design Investigations S24 semester.

The project is very special in the sense that it required us to step out of ourselves and look at the project from a lens outside of our own bodies. The given task was to create an experiense which can be enjoyed by humans and non-humans alike. In order to (try to) solve this task, one has to ask oneself; “Who am I, to answer these questions to begin with?”.

Special thanks to Anab Jain and Julia Sautner for great guidance during the course of the project.

All documentation can be found at: decompositiongallery.com

The project was available for visitors during Angewandte Festival 2024 and will be displayed until October 2024 in the forest on Donauinsel in the centre of Vienna.
