Hi! 

I am Bjørn. Im 25 year old and an industrial design student on the 5th year! Im also a consultant, service designer and on good days I play piano, host music events and make visual expressions.

Currently I work for NoA Ignite as a UX designer. I am also writing my masters thesis in service design for St. Olavs Hospital Lung Cancer department.

This page will hopefully give you a good impression of who I am and what I do.

“A year in the shadows”





                From Star Maker, 1937The Shadow of a Year is an almanac/diary found on the street, left behind by a girl who is a stranger to the artist. In the book, all text is colored over with black, transforming each page into wax-like, abstract forms.

The Shadow of a Year tells the story of one year in a woman's life through shapes. Instead of reading the writer's words, The Shadow of a Year transforms the life and experiences of this woman into an artwork, where it is up to the audience to interpret.

The shapes indicate when the woman has been active, mark important days, and hint at rest days that have been significant. But the project, through precise details, also leaves room for the imagination to roam.

The Shadow of a Year is not just an art project but a narrative experiment that invites participation in an untold story. What were this woman's dreams, hopes, and ambitions? What events shaped her year? What made her laugh? What made her cry? Through this book, the audience can recreate their own version of her life story.
